SQUARE ROOTS

Square means multiplying a number times itself. For example: 32 = 3 x 3 = 9. The number 9 is the square of 3.

The term square root means finding a number that when squared (multiplied by itself), it will equal the number under the square root symbol; the number under the square root radical is called the radicand. The square root of 81 (radicand) is 9 (square root of 81), because 9 x 9 = 81. The number 9 is the square root of 81; 81 is the radicand.

This should help those who just needed a review or a jump start for the "A" student. If you are like most of us, you will need a more indepth study and more examples. I have kept the price down so everyone who needs help can afford it. For more indepth FREE help download this file (in word 97 format).
